Valerie Narte is a filmmaker and photographer based in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.

Valerie graduated from Kalani High School and received her B.A. from the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa's Academy for Creative Media where she studied narrative video production. Since then, she has worked in various roles in media, including cinematographer, video editor, and as a moderator for The Ellen DeGeneres Show's website, Ellentube. She currently works with the non-profit organization Hawaiʻi Women in Filmmaking as a filmmaking instructor.

A self-taught photographer, Valerie's photography work has been published internationally by The New York Times, NEON Magazin, and Monocle.

In her spare time, she enjoys playing World of Warcraft and Diablo 3.
